Photography has been in integral part my life from on early age. In addition to taking photos most everyday, I am a graphic designer, digital artist and writer.

To me, the most important aspect of being a photographer is showing others something they would not otherwise have the opportunity to see, or something they see everyday but in a way they might not have imagined.

My gear is all Nikon, as it has been for the last 23 years, with occasional forays into medium format. I was an early convert to digital photography, having used Mac computers and Photoshop in a digital workflow since 1988.

I am very fortunate to live and work on a gorgeous wooded property north of Seattle, which my husband, a fellow photographer and writer, and I purchased last year. We have named it "Hillhaven". In additional to being a dream outdoor studio, with woodland, rose, perennial and hummingbird gardens, it has recently been named a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
